These cases are specially made for the Kinder Lyre and are constructed out of a fiberboard core with stitched vinyl covering, simulating mottled leather. The inside is coated with a thin layer of protective felt-like material. The lid is attached with brass hinges and there is a handle on the side. When the Kinder Lyre is in the case, here is a space where it angles to keep the tuning key and instruction sheet. This resource book includes material for recorder playing and songs from various sources, many of them translated by Elizabeth Lebret. Lebret was a music teacher in a Waldorf School in the Netherlands until her retirement in 1972. The shepherd's songs were inspired by a vacation trip to Southern Germany where she observed how sheep herders managed their flocks. This became the theme for her lessons. Little Minstrel with Custom Rose Soundhole

We offer the possibility of a custom soundhole for your Little Minstrel. The Gothic, Ceanne and Celtic roses are hand-carved from fruitwood blanks glued onto card. The fretwork design is cut out using a jeweler's saw and then the contours shaped with a scalpel. The rose is glued in from the back of the soundboard before the soundboard is attached to the box. The Star Rose is carved directly into the spruce Soundboard. The pierced design is cut out with a special deep- throated jeweler's saw.

Soundholes are individually cut out in a Heart shape, Cross, Star of David, or Five-pointed Star. For residences, offices, or stores with glass doors featuring our Door Harps, we offer faceplates that hide the Door Harp back. Faceplates may be custom wood-burned, or scribed with the word "Welcome," or other appropriate greeting.
